These are calculation tools, not a drug formulary

Nothing here suggests a dose rate, a target, or which drug to use — every clinical value (dose rate, target PCV, concentration) comes from you and your own reference. This tool only performs the arithmetic precisely once you've made the clinical decision.

Body surface area formula

BSA (m²) = K × Weight(kg)2/3, with K = 10.1 for dogs and K = 10.0 for cats — the standard constants used across veterinary oncology references. A custom K can be entered for other species from your own source.

CRI "add to bag" calculation

Amount to add (mg) = Dose Rate (mcg/kg/min) × Weight (kg) × Bag Volume (mL) ÷ (Fluid Rate (mL/hr) × 16.67). The 16.67 factor is simply the unit conversion between per-minute dosing and per-hour delivery (mcg to mg, and minutes to hours) — not an arbitrary constant. Remember to withdraw the equivalent volume of fluid from the bag before adding the drug, so the final bag volume matches what the calculation assumes.
