Your Trips
Keep separate trips side by side — each has its own flights, accommodation, visits, and activities.
Backup & Restore
Back up all of your trips to a file, or restore from a previous backup — or a trip backup someone texted you. Imported trips are added alongside your existing ones, never overwritten.
How this works
Add each flight leg with the local departure and arrival times exactly as printed on your itinerary — the tool doesn't try to calculate time zones for you, it just lays out what you've booked in order. Add every place you're sleeping (hotel, Airbnb, or a friend or family member's home), and the Itinerary tab checks every night of the trip against your accommodation and flags any night that isn't covered.
Everything is compiled into one day-by-day itinerary combining flights, accommodation, visits, and activities — useful for printing before you leave, or for sharing with family so they know where you'll be.
While you're away, tap Check in on each stop as you reach it — landed, arrived at the hotel, checked out. Turn on Live Check-ins and anyone you send the follow link to can see each check-in as it happens, shown in your local time and theirs, and can ask for an email every time you check in. It's built for the family member at home in a different time zone who just wants to know you got there.
What this tool assumes
- Local times as entered, not calculated. Enter departure time in the departure city's local time and arrival time in the arrival city's local time, exactly as your airline shows them. No timezone database is used.
- Overnight flights don't need a separate accommodation entry. If a flight's departure and arrival dates are different, that date is treated as "in transit" rather than a gap in accommodation.
- Data lives in this browser. Your trips aren't stored on a server. Back up regularly, and use the same browser/device (or restore a backup) to keep access to your trips.
- Live Check-ins are the one exception, and only if you turn them on. For a shared trip, the server keeps the trip name, traveller name, your check-ins and notes, and (if you allow it) the list of planned stops — never booking references, addresses, or your other notes. It's all deleted automatically 30 days after the trip ends, or straight away when you tap Stop Sharing.
- Check-ins made without signal are saved on your phone and sent automatically the next time the page is open with a connection, keeping the time you actually checked in.
- Text-message backups contain the full trip data, encoded directly in the message itself — there's no server in between, which also means a very large trip produces a long message, usually sent as several SMS parts automatically.
Frequently Asked Questions
It checks every date between your first flight/accommodation entry and your last against the accommodation you've added. Any night not covered by a check-in/check-out range — and not an overnight flight — gets flagged so you don't discover a gap the day before you fly.
Open a trip, turn on Live Check-ins, and send the follow link to family or friends. Each time you tap Check in on the itinerary (or use Quick Check-in for anything else, like "All good"), it's sent to everyone following. They see a running list of check-ins with your local time and theirs, plus what's planned next. If you set the trip up for someone else, use "Send trip to the traveller's phone" so the check-ins come from their phone.
Anyone following can enter their email to get a message for every check-in — they confirm it once, and every alert has a one-tap unsubscribe link. With your phone's Mail app notifications turned on, that arrives like any other phone alert. The follow page also refreshes itself every minute while it's open.
Only people who have the follow link. It contains a long random code, so it can't be guessed, and followers can only view — they can't add or change check-ins. If a link ends up somewhere it shouldn't, tap Stop Sharing: the link stops working immediately and everything is deleted from the server. You can turn sharing back on to get a fresh link.
On a trip page, use Export This Trip and choose "Save Backup & Prepare to Send". This saves a backup file and shows the message text with buttons to open it in SMS or WhatsApp (or copy it to paste into any other app). The other person copies that message, opens their own Trip Organiser, and uses Backup & Restore → Paste Backup Text to load it. Nothing passes through a server on either end.
"Save Backup Only" just downloads the file, handy for your own records or to send some other way (email, AirDrop, and so on). "Save Backup & Prepare to Send" does that and also builds the message text with one-tap buttons for SMS or WhatsApp, so you don't have to copy anything by hand unless you want to.
It depends on your phone and browser — opening a messaging app directly from a webpage isn't fully standardised, particularly for SMS. The Open WhatsApp button is generally the most reliable, since it's a normal web link. If either button doesn't open the right app, the message text is shown on screen and Copy Text always works as a fallback — paste it into any messaging app yourself.
Yes — on iPhone, tap the Share button in Safari and choose "Add to Home Screen". On Android, open the browser menu and choose "Add to Home screen" or "Install app". It'll open full-screen like a normal app, using the same data stored in your browser.
It's always added as a new trip rather than overwriting anything, so it's safe to import the same link twice if you need to — you'll just end up with two copies, which you can delete from the Trips list.
